Daylight Music Return this Saturday!

Daylight music is a dazzling idea presented by the Union Chapel to open up their amazing gothic venue to a shiny new daytime crowd and provide a rather exciting platform for artists. Encouraging experimentation and profiling new music as well promoting a free music ethos.

Join Fiona Sally Miller, Rachael Dadd + Adelaide's Cape on Saturday 6th February at midday - 2.00pm for this free performance.

Fresh out of the studio, Brighton based singer songwriter Fiona Sally Miller and band take the stage at the Union Chapel to remind us all about those mundane intricacies of life that bring a smile to our face. Her songs are stories and bits and bobs of words, surrounded with melodic layers of guitars, piano, melodica, percussion and anything else that will make a noise.

Whether it be by handing out cake or percussive pots of rice to shake, Rachael puts her audience at ease - she’s had plenty of practice, having toured England and Japan numerous times, and played festival slots since 2001 including an appearance on Glastonbury’s Acoustic Stage with one of her collaborative projects, Whalebone Polly (with Kate Stables of This is the Kit). She enjoys performing in intimate settings the most, but can adapt well, having proved this when she performed a series of shows in Japan, each to an audience of 3000.

Adelaide’s Cape is the nu-folk music of Sam Taylor. Sam works with a collective of talented musicians in both performance and recording, most prominently with percussionist Hannah Richardson, who has been involved in Adelaide’s Cape since its beginning. After relocating to the Southwest in September, Adelaide’s Cape is continuously immersed in the musical hubs of Bristol, Norwich and London.
